Movie-lovers in the Oak Brook and greater Chicagoland area will soon enjoy all of the very latest movie theatre amenities and technologies together in one location at the all new AMC Oakbrook Center 12, in Oak Brook, Ill. Beginning this week, moviegoers at AMC Oakbrook Center 12 can take in the full AMC experience, including:

The new theatre joins AMC Oakbrook Center 4 at the Oakbrook Center. AMC Oakbrook Center 4 received a full theatre renovation in 2015.
The movie-going experience at AMC Oakbrook Center 12 begins before guests ever leave their house. The theatre offers online ticketing and reserved seating and ticketless entry, allowing guests to secure their seats before arriving and skip the box office line entirely. And once inside, guests sink into AMC’s plush, power recliners and stadium seating.
“AMC Theatres’ guest-friendly innovation has led the industry in getting movie-lovers to the movie theatre through greater comfort and convenience, enhanced food and beverage and premium sight and sound, and we’re bringing that total package to AMC Oakbrook Center 12,” said John McDonald, executive vice president of Operations, AMC. “The recliners, our MacGuffins options, which include a beer, glass of wine or cocktail, along with the convenience of reserved seating and ticketless entry, and state-of-the-art presentation technology make this an incredible movie-going experience.”
AMC Oakbrook Center 12 features the premium experience of Dolby CinemaTM at AMC, which combines the dramatic imaging and moving audio, with the next-level comfort of AMC’s spacious, power reserved recliners that pulsate with the action on screen. The movie comes alive with astonishing brightness, incomparable contrast and captivating color. And guests will feel transported inside the story with sound that flows all around them.
Guests can also be delighted by the popular immersive IMAX at AMC experience, which features IMAX’s state-of-the-art projection and sound technology, exclusive film content shot with IMAX® cameras and a specially designed theatre layout that makes the movie so real, you’ll forget you’re in a theatre.
Moviegoers at least 21 years old can enjoy a drink at MacGuffins®, a full-service bar inside AMC Oakbrook Center 12. Named after a term coined by famed filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, MacGuffins features a variety of well-known and local craft beer, wine, and cocktails that guests can order and take into the auditorium. They can also enjoy a drink at the bar before or after the show.
