Antel presented its new 4K Headend. It is installed in the brand new International Data Center named after Ing. José Luis Massera de Pando. It is a state-of-the-art infrastructure to provide convergent services for audiovisual platforms on the Internet and television in its different modalities.
The new infrastructure and services are esigned to offer video management and distribution capabilities in HD, 4K and virtual reality. These tools will be able to broadcast live signals as well as a wide range of on-demand video service offerings.
With this technology television companies in Uruguay will be able to offer a varied basket of new products that will allow them to compete with the most demanding offers at an international level. Also, since this infrastructure is installed in the technological port of Uruguay, Antel will be able to offer these services to foreign clients, using all the technological power of the Data Center and soon the connection to the international submarine cable of Antel connected to U.S.
