  • ISE 2017: Optoma 'Brighter for longer' with commercial laser, and 4K projectors

At ISE Optoma (Hall 1, stand 1-H120) will shine LASER light. 'Brighter for longer' it promises in case of its ProScene ZU510T WUXGA projector. 30,000 hours of full brightness, where the competitiotends to promise 20,000 hours. The new ProScene WUXGA 5,500 lumen compact laser projector, features an 24/7 and 30,000 hours, light source, in full brightness mode, making it "the ultimate ‘fit-and-forget’ installation solution".

This industry leading lifetime is achieved using Optoma’s new DuraCore technology, which has advanced laser diode cooling and an innovative dust resistant design. 30,000 hours means 3.4 years if run continuously, 24/7.Remarkably, even after 5,000 hours the ZU510T brightness shows virtually no change, which is unique in the projector industry for this class of projector, Optoma claims in a statement.

According to Optoma the ZU510T has been independently tested and certified with a dust resistance IP5X rating. Outstanding resistance to dust in combination with exceptional brightness ensures industry leading durability; paramount for 24/7 maintenance free operation in challenging environments.

Justin Halls, Head of Visual System Solutions at Optoma Europe, commented: "The fixed lens ZU510T offers all the benefits of Optoma’s laser technology in a smaller chassis. An industry-leading light-source lifetime, independent dust certification, excellent colour performance and low noise levels set this projector apart from its peers".

Adding: "In the last 12 months we have established Optoma as the fastest growing Pro AV projector brand and the only one with consistent growth in every quarter over the last year. The ZU510T will enable us to further accelerate our growth in this sector and consolidate Optoma’s position as a Pro AV market leader.

Optoma’s Head of Marketing, Joe Ahmed, adds "We are excited to showcase the benefits of projection over flat panels with our latest developments in projection technology. Our professional AV business has seen dramatic growth and we look forward to unveiling even more innovative solutions which will demonstrate the breadth of our range".

Also on show at the event will be Optoma’s lamp-less ZU650 laser projector. Nominated for the ‘Technology for Leisure’ category in the 2017 InAVation awards, so will they make the grade for video applications...

Optoma will more or less show the same line up at it did early January at CES in Las Vegas besides the commercial lasers of course the 4K UHD60 and gaming projectors. Along with mapping solutions.

The 4K UHD projector using single chip DLP technology 'bringing ultimate clarity to both home and professional users', and the laser projectors will be among the demonstrations not to be missed.
