S[quadrat] GmbH and its cooperation partner NEC Display Solutions Europe GmbH have equipped several conference rooms with a brilliant HD image since the high resolution series Sky was launched at the beginning of the year. At ISE it will show such an application of its 1.5mm pitch LED video walls.
In New York and London numerous corporate headquarters of the banking and insurance sectors have already modernized their media technology by the luminous S[quadrat] Sky LED video displays.
Customers get a HD resolution with a pixel pitch of 1.5 mm at a screen size of 3.04 m width x 1.71 m height. Thus, the LED display can optimally present high-quality video content. In contrast to a LCD wall the LED modules are aligned as a homogenously, seamless screen.
Thanks to 14 bit processing there could be 4.4 trillion colors. S[quadrat] focusses on the usage of high-end LEDs for the production to achieve the best possible image result.
S[quadrat] makes an impressive claim, that needs to be seen to be believed; "Due to the high quality of the LEDs the color calibration at the factory is not necessary any more". However, the field calibration is still possible at any time. Last year the wall at the NEC booth showed discernable modules, so the option of calibration remains desirable.
The S[quadrat] team designed a sub-structure consisting of various Bosch profiles to hold the display modules at the wall. This light-weight aluminum construction has meanwhile established itself as the perfect standard construction for S[quadrat]’s front service systems. The ideal total depth of this system is 26 cm. So, behind the 9 cm deep screen there is enough room for optimal air circulation.
With the help of the also supplied electromagnetic tool for each display a single technician can remove the pixel cards from the front within only a few seconds. Therefore, maintenance and service units can be carried out quickly, easily and cost-effectively.
