  • ISE 2017: JVC shows off Z1/VS4500 4K projectors, updated e-shift and DLP project

The new JVC DLA-VS4500 and DLA-Z1 Home Theater projectors will be on the JVC stand (12-H59) at the ISE show. The professional model combines native 4K resolution and JVC’s BLU-Escent laser illumination system and has been designed especially for demanding visualisation applications.

With three native 4K (4096 x 2160) D-ILA imagers, the DLA-VS4500 offers 12-bit imagery, 3,000 ANSI lumens and high native contrast ratio. It supports extensive video and imaging formats and 120Hz refresh for artifact-free, smooth motion display, suitable for applications with fast movement such as flight simulation. A full range of high MTF fixed and zoom lens options will be available to meet various throw ratio requirements. JVC’s BLU-Escent laser/phosphor technology is ideally suited for the simulation market because it provides high reliability over extended operating hours, maintains stable brightness and colour, delivers very high contrast and dynamic range and enables freedom of mounting orientations.

JVC will demonstrate a new home cinema projector at ISE – the DLA-Z1 – which uses the world’s smallest native 4K D-ILA device, and is also the world’s first THX-certified 4K projector.

The model includes a BLU-Escent laser light source, delivering a brightness of 3000lm. The improvement of brightness will make the projector compatible with large size screens of over 200 inches, plus will raise the peak brightness on an HDR picture, bringing new depth to the pictures. The model features a dynamic light source control – unique for laser – plus 20,000 hours of operational life. In addition, the projector’s new lens, dedicated for 4K, together with a Cinema Filter with wide color gamut, delivers a vivid, high quality picture.

JVC has launched a new range of custom installation projectors, the DLA-RS420, 520 and 620, that delivers higher brightness and contrast, ideal for largescreen home theatres. The new JVC eshift projector line continues to offer highest-in-class brightness and the industry’s highest native contrast ratios. Other key enhancements include a new low-latency mode to reduce frame delays for better game play and auto-detect HDR picture mode. All models offer two full speed 18Gbps HDMI inputs with HDCP2.2 to provide connection to the latest 4K UHD sources, with support for up to 4096 x 2160 resolution, including HDR and 4:4:4 colour sampling.

ISE also plays host to two new DLP projectors from JVC – the LX-FH50 high brightness full HD projector and the LX-WX50 professional 1280x800 DLP projector. These models deliver 5,000 ANSI lumen brightness with a high contrast ratio and a high quality image, thanks to Digital Light Processing technology. Installation is simple, with keystone and corner correction, and they have a filterless design with an upper lamp door for easy access. Both models are equipped with dual HDMI, component, video and analogue-PC inputs, with the professional model adding various LAN control protocols.
