    Join three speakers and broadcast and imaging professionals in New York, Thursday night, either in the flesh or online, on the subject of you guessed it Displays.

    Gary Mandle, Sony: HDR/WCG Displays and EOTF/color space conversion

    Gary Mandle has worked within the Sony Professional Solutions Group for more than 30 years in the development and marketing of new display products. These technologies include CRT, SXRD, LCD, and now OLED products. His current focus is on Sony's OLED technologies intended for production & post production applications.

    Norm Hurst, Sarnoff: Test signals for HDR/WCG displays

    Norm Hurst has been with the David Sarnoff Research Center for over thirty years. He has over thirty patents, ranging from splicing MPEG-2 transport streams to skin detail, for which he was awarded SMPTE's Camera Origination Medal in 2016. He is a SMPTE Fellow. His current research interests include the development of test patterns for testing advanced displays.

    Howard Witherspoon, DesignLED: Flexible large-scale LED displays

    Howard Witherspoon is the President of DesignLED USA, a digital media sales and marketing company located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the past decade, he has overseen or contributed to the implementation of digital signage networks in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2009, he shifted the company focus from control systems to the fast-emerging SMD LED technology space.

    Refreshments will be served. Guests and non-SMPTE Members are welcome.
