Upon our request the HDFury team added the option to sent infoframes of choice to an HDR display that accepts the HDR Metadata normally sent from HDMI 2.0a enabled sources, like 4K Blu-Ray players. However many sources that can play HDR material do not have nor ever will be fitted with an HDMI 2.0a output, or the ability to sent this metadata. So put the latest HDFury the 600Mhz 4K Integral between source and HDR Display and you can tell the display what HDR signal it is being fed. Unfortunately it is currently sold-out at HDFury, it should be back in stock in the new year, its distributors, still have stock though. The new 2016 version will be stronger than ever with a new pcb revision, improved BT range, improved signal integrity and a few cosmetic changes. Read about the new firmware update, GUI,and a list of distributors, here.
Integral can turn ON/OFF the HDR mode of any HDR capable display. Well only if it is controlled by HDR Metadata, for instance certain professional production displays offer only manual control.

This video shows you how to put a TV into HDR mode utilizing the HDFury Integral. It's being used at AVTOP for colorgrading, calibrations and measurements of HDR. A additional AVTOP-Software is under development and will allow to control HDR parameters dynamically and connect the device to interesting applications such as calibration systems in order to control the metadata dynamically. This will allow the Integral to be used in measurement, calibration and content creation workflows. Dynamic control of the device will require a PC with the integral connected. The unique AVTOP HTTP control software will then interface to the INTEGRAL and unveil its full capabilities, including easy control of Mastering Display Settings, AVI Infoframe and even new values such as MaxCLL and MaxFALL. If you are interested in licensing this unique technology or looking to purchase the HTTP control software for Integral, kindly please check the HDR solutions page from AVTOP.
