Sony DADC New Media Solutions (NMS) announced the implementation of its new Ultra HD (UHD) Blu-ray authoring tools on the 2016 scheduled 4K Ultra HD Disc releases of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Chappie, Hancock, Pineapple Express, Salt, and The Smurfs 2, and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment's Wild and Maze Runner: Scorch Trials. As a leading pioneer in authoring technologies, NMS designed its proprietary toolset to efficiently integrate and deliver advanced functionality of UHD Blu-ray to help major studios and content owners deliver a theater quality experience into consumer's homes.
