Hisense is unveiling a new 65-inch H9 series Edge-lit television and a 70-inch H10 series, that will feature Quantum Dot and Local Dimming in 320 zones. At IFA in Berlin last month HiSense showed an 110" 8K version of its ULED 3.0 TV platform. It is also scheduled to launch TVs based on the 55" and 65" OLED panels by LG Display. The lower cost H8 series will feature an 86" Full Array LED LCD TV with 320 dimming zones for $6K. No Quantum Dots and their wide color gamut at that price level, but it is said to do HDR.
The 65-inch H9 television, a new screen size in Hisense’s entry-level ULED television series is edge-lit and offers multi-zone local dimming, 4K HDR10 streaming and playback, Wide Color Gamut reaching over 83 percent of DCI-P3, UHD upscaling and dbx audio. Content is available from the best 4K streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Video and YouTube.

H9900 LASER TV
HiSense increases the MSRP for its LASERCAST 4K front projection TV package of Ultra Short Throw LASER-Phosphor projector, 100" diagonal Fresnel ambient light reflecting screen and active speakers, from the original indicative $10,000.- to $12,999.-. Pushes back availability to the summer of 2017.
“As screen sizes get larger, the panels become heavier and more costly to produce. Bringing a 4K panel television of over 100-inches into the home is extremely cost-prohibitive,” says Jerry Liu, CEO of Hisense America’s. “We believe the future of the big-screen is panel-less, and our 4K Laser TV is evidence that size and picture quality can be more accessible.”
The 100-inch 4K Laser TV offers HDR processing along with a UHD Upscaler. It will be available in Summer 2017 for an expected retail price of $12,999.
