  • Power Technology Int. hosts Laser Illuminated Projection Demo at Cinemacom

Power Technology International hosts a Laser Illuminated Projection demo at the Cinemacom tradeshow in Las Vegas next month. PTI offers both stand alone laser sources and central laser farms to illuminate multiple projectors. Last year NEC selected the company to provide 15K lumens laser lightsource for some of its Laser Cinema projectors.

At the show, through its off-show-floor demo room PTI is promoting the concept of retro-fitting existing digital cinema projectors with an external LASER Light Source.

"Buying a new laser-based projector isn’t an exhibitor’s only option to deliver a premium experience to the screen while reducing operating cost. Why replace a projector when 90% of the system performs well? The light xenon lamp is the cause of the problem, not the projector. Preserve your investment in the last generation of technology by replacing only the Xenon lamp. The Illumina laser light source is compatible with all Series 1 and Series 2 cinema projectors. Both DLP and SXRD light engines are supported and upgrades are available for all popular projector models from Christie, Barco, Sony and NEC are easily upgradable".

The demo will discuss how to upgrade your existing DLP or SXRD projector with a new Illumina laser light source, to provide 'bright & vivid colors, lower operating cost, and increased brightness & uniformity'. An upgraded Series DLP projector will be demonstrated.

According to Power technology its Illumina laser upgrade provides audiences a superior immersive experience for a fraction of the cost of replacing cinema projectors. Reap the benefits of laser-delivered projection while lowering your overall operating cost. This cutting edge technology delivers powerful, vibrant imagery that will pull audiences off the couch and into your cinema.

The Demo is located near the Trade Show Exhibits on the 3rd floor, Room 383,  of the Julius Caesars Tower.
