  • Connections Europe conference anounces Keynote speakers moves to new location

    CONNECTIONS Europe the Smart Home, IoT, and the Connected Consumer conference, and annual platform to discuss Innovations and Disruptions for the IoT and Smart Home is to be held on November 1 and 2 in Amsterdam. Organisers Parks Associates announced its two keynote speakers, the first speaker will be Matthias Mieves, Head of New Business, Sales & Marketing Connected Home, Deutsche Telekom AG. The second keynote speaker will be Sudeep Maitra, Global VP, Strategy and Development at British Gas controlled Utility Centrica.

    Deutsche Telekom is Germany's incumbent telco, and owner of the T-Mobile cell phone operators in other countries. It has developed a turn key smart-/connected home platform, branded QIVICON, wich it also offers to other operators like Holland's incumbent telco KPN.

    Centrica offers the Hive connected home service and line of smart home products.

    According to Parks Associates the research consultancy that organises the CONNECTIONS conference series; 'the smart home concept is expanding slowly across Europe as consumers explore innovative use cases with connected devices and services. Therefore CONNECTIONS Europe will highlight successful smart home deployments and strategies to secure recurring revenue through consumer engagement with smart home and IoT solutions'.

    The Conference topics will focus on disruptions from innovative technologies and new business models and their impact on the converging smart home ecosystems. Specificly the event's topics for this year's conference are:

    For the twelfth edition, Parks has uprooted Connections Europe and moves the conference from its home at the Dam Square to  will take place 1-2 November 2017 at the Marriott Hotel in Amsterdam, across the street from another well known Amsterdam Square, the Leidse Plein.
