In a Dutch language statement Belgian projector, display and imaging product manufacturer and vendor Barco has said it has launched a review of the Fredrikstad Norway 'Barco Center Of Excellence' facility that designs and builds the Barco single DMD DLP projectors, like its F series and the Barco Residential models based on those projectors.
Barco acquired Digital Projection and its staff and facilities in 2012 and is now looking to move the production to a new and larger facility at the new Barco Head Quarters in Kortrijk Belgium, that itself opened last year.
Barco says that at the same time it is also looking to strenghten the R&D activities at Barco Fredrikstad AS. the review concerns 75 employees at Barco Fredrikstad AS.
