  • Optoma updates entry-level HD Home Theater projector, releases HD27e

The HD27e is the next evolution of Optoma’s HD27 Full HD 1080p home entertainment projector. It is now available in Europe. The new model offers brighter, bolder images, runs quieter and has a longer expected lamp life than its predecessor. Featuring Amazing Colour, this projector delivers accurate true-to-life colour reproduction, according to Optoma.

Kishan Mistry, Product Manager at Optoma said: “The new HD27e is a brighter home entertainment projector, combining fantastic features with exceptional colour accuracy to produce true-to-life visuals on a huge screen. The small chassis, simple set up and integrated speaker make this projector a good all-rounder for any home.”

Optoma said it is equipped with an enhanced colour wheel and multiple modes and settings to choose from. This projector gives users the freedom to select the best setting for the content. Each mode has been fine-tuned by Optoma’s expert colour team to ensure superior colour performance. The 27 featured an RGBRGB colorwheel.

The projector comes complete with an integrated speaker that delivers powerful 10W audio, with exceptional sound quality. Despite the small dimensions of the projector, the level of audio created will easily fill a living space. An audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems.

The gaming mode setting is designed to optimise the projector's response times.

It should offer Lights on viewing with 3400 lumen brightness, Rec. 709 HDTV standard for accurate colour. It has 2x HDMI 1.4a and MHL support, an Built-in 10W Speaker, and audio output. USB power - to stream content via HDMI dongle

The throw ratio is specified at 1.47:1 - 1.62:1, the Noise level at 25dB. It offers 3D-sync and a 12V screen trigger.
