The International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society announced today that Adobe, Barco, Walt Disney Studios and Panasonic are included in this year's list of nominees for the 5th annual Technology & New Product Awards, scheduled for September 24th, 2014, 1:00 - 3:00PM at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood.
Technology & New Product Awards winners have previously included: DreamWorks Animation (DWA), IMAX, RealD and many other leading technology and product developers in this industry.
Outstanding technologies and new products will be awarded the Lumiere Award, and the New Product Award, respectively. The Lumiere award, which has been awarded to such luminaries as: Ang Lee, Martin Scorsese, James Cameron and others, is the highest honor bestowed by the membership of the Society. Winners from these nominees will be chosen by a blue ribbon panel of technology and advanced imaging experts.
"These awards will record for history the technologies, organizations and individuals responsible for the extraordinary journey of the advanced imaging industry, which includes stereoscopic 3D, 4K, UHD, High Dynamic Range, Enhanced Dynamic Range and more," added Jim Chabin, President of the Society.
