Korean media report that Samsung has signed a deal with Cinemex, Mexico's largest cinema chain for the sale of CinemaLED displays for five Onyx theaters across Mexico. The first theater located at the Antara Polanco shopping center, is scheduled to open in October.
Samsung is also a supplier to Cinepolis,that happens to be the largest chinema operator in the region.
The Onyx CinemaLED displays come in 10 meter wide 4K and 5 meter wide 2K version. Which version will be deplayed where is yet unclear, as Korean media did not report on those specifics and the Samsung announcement was only made available in Korean.
