Following the launch of the first 8K TV the Sharp 70X500 almost a year ago Sharp has launched its second generation of 8K TVs, adding a smaller and a larger size TV to the 70", the AX1 series consists of a 60", 70", and 80" model.

Sharp also developed its own processing chip to upscale content to 8K. The the Sharps will feature both the four HDMI 2.0 input option for 8K of the current generation of 8K TVs, aswell as a new single cable 8K input, using HDMI 2.1.
The TVs will be available this year in Asia, inn Europe the TVs should be shipping around March. Like the 70" first generation 8K TV, that started shipping in September 2017 in China, December in Japan, and was announced for March 2018 for the Europe release, in the end there was a minor delay with the TV actually avalable to European consumers in April.
European Prices will be released at a later date. The 80" is confirmed for an Eurowide release.
