Dealers in Europe have started to report that JVC has scheduled delivery of the first production units of its new range of 4K projectors. The first demo units are expected this week.
So far supply is limited in numbers and models. The expected units are primarily the N7 and the N5 (€7K and €5K), not the €15K NX9.
JVC had to cancel its shipping back in November, due to an hardware issue discovered in the initial production run at its factory in Thailand. Without a firm resolution date.
The range consists of the N5, N7 and flagschip lamp-based projector NX9 that simulates 8K by e-shifting the image from its native 4K imagers.
These JVC compete directly with the Sony VW-270/295, the VW570/695,and the VW 870/895 range of 4K LCoS projectors.
