Casio launched it first hybrid laser-phosphor projector almost a decade ago. The company expected to gain a cross-over into the private user market. But the overblown whites low contrast,1280x800 resolution and poor colors, made LCD HT specific projectors like the Epson TW-2900, a far more attractive and cheaper option.
Two years ago Casio launched its first larger projector, offering 5000 lumens, based on the large Coretronics XPR 4K DLP prorojector platform. Competing with the BenQ laser phosphor home Theater projector.
The smaller projectors also looked very acceptible when demoed on the ambient booth.
Casio hasn't sold lamp-based projectors for years. Its market is the business projector market.
According to PMA Research, Casio's market share within the lamp-free projector category has increased by 68 percent over the past three years. Casio also had the highest unit share gain (55 percent) compared to other leading projector brands. Casio's commitment to the industry is displayed through its full line of projectors including portable, multi-purpose, high brightness and ultra short throw units that are equipped with a variety of features fit for a multitude of environments. Casio's projectors offer a variety of capabilities that will illuminate any room and aid in the creation of lively presentations and dynamic lessons.
