Dome and cillinder projection specialists Igloo has been working with immersive projections for more than a decade. It therefor claims an encyclopaedic knowledge of the capabilities and idiosyncrasies of different projector types for its technology team, backed-up by close working relationships with the leading projector manufacturers.
It finds it fascinating right now is the speed at which the projector market is evolving. The manufacturers keep packing in more capabilities for a lower price. They're also scndrambling to stay ahead of the large-format LED technologies.
In several of the Igloo dome maker's recent installations it has been using a rig of six ultra-short-throw Epson projectors equipped with the latest snorkel lenses. For clients, that means super-bright, super-sharp imagery, clear colours, and minimal shadowing.

An example will be on show at Madrid's Digital Enterprise Show, which runs from 21-to-23 May. DES is billed as the world's leading event on digital transformation.
