  • Quantum Dots maker NanoSys deeply involved in SID conference

    Nanosys, Inc., the Quantum Dot company is deeply involved in the SID conference, with a long list of speakers and presentations during the 2019 Society for Information Display (SID) DisplayWeek International Symposium being held from May 12 to 17, 2019. While showcasing the latest advances in the company’s Quantum Dot technologies and materials at the 2019 Society for Information Display (SID) exhibit at Booth 1428 from May 14 to 16 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

    Her's the full list of technical talks and sessions throughout the week Nanosys executives will participate in:

    Dr. Charlie Hotz, Nanosys’ Vice President of R&D, will speak at a Monday Seminar focused on Quantum Dot display technologies on Monday, May 13th from 10:20 to 11:50 p.m. The session will review both existing and emerging uses of quantum dots in displays, with an emphasis on technical challenges and future application potential.

    Russell Kempt, Nanosys Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing, will present as part of the 2019 SID/DSCC Business Conference on Monday, May 13th during the “Technologies Enabling Next Generation Displays” session from 3:45 to 5:30p.m.

    Jason Hartlove, Nanosys CEO & President, will participate in the 2019 SID/DSCC Display Investors Conference on Tuesday, May 14th with a presentation during the “Quantum Dot & Nanoparticle” session from 1:30 to 2:10 p.m.

    Dr. Ruiqing Ma, Nanosys’ Director of Device Development, will present an award-winning, SID Distinguished Paper co-authored with LG Display Co. Ltd., titled, “Developing High Efficiency Heavy Metal Free QD-LEDs for Next Generation Displays,” on Friday, May 17 from 10:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. during the Cadmium-Free Materials & Devices session, moderated by Jonathan Steckel of Apple, Inc. and Chang Hee Lee of Samsung Display.

    Nanosys will chair or moderate additional sessions related to advances in Quantum Dot technology:

    Dr. Ma will also chair a session titled QD Electroluminescence I on Thursday, May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:20 p.m. This session will cover the latest progress in Quantum Dot based Electroluminescence devices (QD-LED) in materials, solution processed TFT backplanes and AMQLED displays.

    Daekyoung Kim, Nanosys Scientist, will be moderating a Monday Seminar session titled, “SE:10: Flexible Display Technology Trends and Challenges” by Ho Kyoon Chung, Chair Professor, SKKU Advanced Institute of Nanoscience and Technology on Monday, 13th  from 2:40 to 4:10 p.m. This seminar will discuss key factors that govern mechanical durability and propose a measurement system for assessing reliability for display technologies in various environmental conditions.
