Panasonic says it has started shipping its latest Laser/Phosphor projectors, the 4K+ from WQXGA DMDs pixel shifting projector is still scheduled to arrive in November.

World firsts don’t come along too often. But with the new Panasonic PT-RQ13K/RZ12K/RS11K Series projectors, Panasonic is setting new expectations in the laser technology world. Ideal for large exhibition venues, virtual reality theatres and corporate applications the series has extremely long 20,000 hour light-source life and 24/7 operation capability.
The PT- RZ12K and PT-RS11K, available now, are the world’s lightest 3-chip DLP™ laser projectors, weighing just 45kg. Achieving a brightness of 12,000lm and with a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000:1, they are ideal for rental and staging, museum and exhibition, control room and digital signage applications. The PT-RZ12K and PT-RS11K projectors boast 120 Hz frame creation technology allowing fluid motion picture reproduction.
Arriving later in November is the PT-RQ13K. This remarkable machine is the world’s first beyond-4K resolution projector, with a Quad Pixel Drive producing truly remarkable image quality. To achieve this, the optical axis of the projector is shifted both horizontally and vertically at a high frame rate of 240 Hz, to create four different pixels from a single pixel - effectively quadrupling the pixel density of the image
