For the first time at ISE, Canon Europe will put its XEED 4K600STZ laser projector on display. Amsterdam 7-10 February 2017 Hall 1, Stand F-42. Canon has a decade long history of exhibiting at ISE, and many of those years it has had some sort of dome projection at its stand. This year it will be the new top of the line 4K projector projecting content on a panorama dome screen from Elumenati. The demonstration will show how the XEED 4K600STZ LCoS projector, with native 4K (4096 x 2400) resolution and Canon’s long-life 6,000-lumen solid-state light source technology, can project outstanding 4K image quality onto curved or domed surfaces with consistent focus.
“We’re excited to be at ISE this year to showcase our variety of first-class 4K imaging projectors suited for an array of installations from simulation for education, to entertainment at museums, theatres and galleries, as well as digital signage. We’re excited to be working with our partners that have joined us on the stand this year. Together, we’re continuing to push the boundaries on developing innovative and exciting solutions for a range of installation requirements”, says Andreas Herrnböck, European Business Development Manager, Visual Communications, Canon Europe.
As part of its long standing relationship with projection screen manufacturer and blending soft- and hardware specialist AVStumpfl there will be an immersive double-4K projection demonstration via two Canon XEED 4K501ST projectors on a curved surface from AV Stumpfl. This is thanks to Canon’s marginal focus adjustment that keeps images perfectly focused even on the edges of a curved or domed screen. Of course if the booth and screen itself are shaking due to big speakers and woofers at neighbouring stands it is impossible to judge the projectors focus ability, like at ISE2016, so hopefully Canon learned from this, as the projectors tend to offer sharp pictures.
This area of Canon's large stand will also feature the XEED 4K501ST projector, in collaboration with Phoenics 360° displays, showcasing a seamless 360 degree 4K projection on a multi-media column, ideal for digital signage applications such as advertising.
There will also be a second blend solution demo featuring three Canon XEED WUX450ST projectors along a passage way, offering viewers superb image quality as they walk through, without any obstructions such as shadows. This is due to the projector’s vertical lens shift that enables a range of installation options, as well as the flexible picture-by-picture and edge blending options.
As per usual there will also be a few camera's at hand for a “touch and try” demonstration, with devices on display including the Canon XC15, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and the Canon EOS 1D X Mark II. Here visitors will experience first-hand Canon’s high-resolution image quality and superior functionality, demonstrating the company’s heritage, expertise and knowledge of imaging.
