Sony is bringing its new modular microled display wall back to the Rai Convention Center in Amsterdam, following its debut at the IBC show last september.
Star of the show is CLEDIS that delivers impressively bright, super-size images with mind-blowing clarity, colour and contrast. At ISE Sony will be showcasing CLEDIS configured as an 8K x 2K display, ideal for big-screen visualisation applications. So an 8K wall cut in half in height. This show ISE is more an public display, signage show than a TV/Home Theater oriented show for Sony, as at the IBC Broadcast show it was shown in what looked to be an 16:9 ratio.
Sony says it will be ´unveiling a brand new laser installation projector that demonstrates continuing Sony innovation in AV presentation technology´.
In addition it will focus attention to the VPL-GTZ280, the tuned down sibling of the GTZ270, that starts at 2000 peak lumens with the ability to unlock higher brightness upto the 270's nominal peak brightness of 5000 lumens, via software key in the field upgrades. The 280, uses the same chassis as the 270, which is marketed to the Home Theater market as the VW5000. The 270 and the 5000 were the star of last year's ISE.
Sony will also show corporate AV production equipment and its professional Bravia Display range.
