Before Joe Kane, Joel Silver and Sam Runco took the technology i pioneered with importing Barco crt and Faroudja but with HDR enhancing screens Torus and Rear Projection ( which they went on to promote to you with soft looking screen fabric images ) I spent 10 years doing excellent sounding systems in MIAMI IN ROOMS WITH LIGHT.

Necessity is the mother of invention. So from 1999 to 2014 Joe Kane's soft dark looking uninviting image standard is what reigned all of a sudden Bingo my lifelong image aesthetic of colorful dynamic video images gets adopted by the television industry and the creative community.

Thanks to Red and other cameras they become the trojan horse to create the visual image aesthetics i had advanced the early days of high end video with non hot spotting rear optical screens and torus screens.

That is why after such vindication and poetic justice i can now fulfill my long interrupted dream knowing I have been on the right track all along. Expect many many new intelligent first art implementations in LED Tiles for Penthouses, and with respect THERE IS NO NEED FOR A SCREEN WITH A CENTER CHANNEL BEHIND IT.

Sure Peter, I´m certain it´s fully possible to design great solutions both with and without the center speaker behind the screen, and I´m also sure there are some setups that might benefit from a realD screen as well. Whatever screen used though, the current main issue we ALL have, regardless of screen, is the lack of contrast or simply put "per pixel control" and thus the actual ability to create the required dynamics for recreating HDR to its feasible potential as far as I am concerned (but please, let´s leave that dog sleeping, we´ve discussed this to death and beyond already...). Still, recreating "HDR" peaks is just one out of MANY components making out the perceived movie experience; size, WCG and acoustics are some of the other components that might be just as important - albeit I completely agree that HDR is a real cool feature - among others - that I do hope we can enjoy in the projection world as well some time in the future.

They´ve actually installed one of those RealD screens at my local commercial cinema, Colosseum in Oslo, alongside a 60k lumen Barco 4k 3-chip 6p DLP laser, so I´ll have a look at it shortly, looking forward to it! There is and in my opinion will still be diversion in both preferences, priorities and also space / budgets that would accommodate both the type of AT screen I am producing (lambertian diffuser kind of type for those wondering what I´m referring to; https://www.screenacoustics.com/collections/dreamscreen-acoustic-ultrahd-v5-screen-fabric-1-6x4m-63-x-157-fit-all-system/products/screenacoustics-ultraweave-v6-pro-xxl-screen-fabric-118-x-295-fit-all-system), as well as - I´D GUESS - the filtered and positive gained screens - and certainly tile based LED´s... There ARE, however, pros and cons with ALL these choices, you just have to choose your "demons"!

Hi Jon, it mat come to a surprise to everyone but after 40 years fascinated by projection, i am now parting company with that technology, im getting in on the ground floor, creating all the first art as I best deem it fit, and leaving all the design work documented in this forum to keep off copy cats. With my new internet megaphone it will not be pleasant to try replicate my original engineering concept to then screw the image up. So am back on the forum, THE MOST EXCITING PERIOD ON THE HISTORY OF MOVIE AND MUSIC IMMERSION IS ABOUT TO COMMENCE..

The new section "video walls" is a good very good idea!

I will see Sony CLED in 8K 120 Frames in 2 weeks at the Sony Headquarter in Tokio.
