They didn't figure out dual stream 3D nor frame-packing, it was purely side by side.

And ok no HD possible through those little perfs, the image would have been SD. Much less 4K.

They got 6 speaker /channels right up to 2007 when 7.1 came around.

Now the horror we are facing as we speak:

I argue that the Japanese receiver manufacturers are causing grave injury to would be NEW HOME ATMOS customers because there is no way these new upcoming Home Atmos loudspeaker arrays can INVADE YOUR PERSONAL SPACE tm portraying SONIC PIROUETTES tm that punch through your gut, orbit tightly around your head and park themselves just behind your left ear as I heard in the above room premiere of GRAVITY and have not been able to experience recreated in any cinemacon demo, I think Dolby may have sold out on that nimbleness of portraying XYZ objects spatial resolution.

So I had been driving for 6 hours and stayed up late but had to post my urgency in the Cinema Atmos Thread which has been taken off topic with these apartment dwelling atmos systems, so I referred to these Japanese offerings and the 2m Home Imax system that has only 7.1 maybe 11.1, I called them "Mickey Mouse" systems. Then I compared at system price what our proposed Home Atmos for turnkey installation compared to what has been posted publicly as the going price of 7.1/projection installations in the HT Build Forum and I suggested that instead of spending 500,000 in 1928 technology you should consider a new model which is more of a 2018 state of the art ( correctly engineered in all aspects to account for proper cooling, and proper powering for all hot rod changes etc) in BIM , systems and Custom 4 way screen engineering our design team is unmatched, sorry. It turns out that for about 150 more than that posted half mil.system in the Builds forum, (and not for the 1.2 million that was our previous entry level) you can have the HOME ATMOS PREMIERE RANK with 4K 3d (not 2k 3D) and 4k HFR and max contast and MTF till kingdom comes. Not only that the height channel behind the screenas presented this week by Dolby is exactly the musch criticized approach we implemented a year early in Albiorix. So I pointed this cost analysis out, ill admit with sleep deprived enthusiasm, and it was reported as advertising.

Which is not! The cost analysis that pointed to an obvious great value for the proposed HOME ATMOS PREMIERE RANK of our inititative is a call to arms againsty A) exhisting Mickey Mouse Systems, and B) it's perpetration through XYZ spatially resolution compromised HOME ATMOS DEPLOYMENTS.

I also stepped in some toes for saying that at high decibels the dolby room needs to replace speakers and amps, which they should, in fact I will bring Dolby's Medwyn and Stuart into one of these installations watch then those 1928 technology speakers and amps get torn down and replaced by studio grade fatigue free (up to140 decibel of headroom) capable speakers and audiophile grade amps.



So I got kicked out of the Dolby Atmos Thread for pointing this terrible compromise and offering system Budget Comparisons at list price. Anyone that knows me understands that my passionate championship of these causes have financial remuneration as the lowest of priorities. For me it is simplicity of design, system /room ergonomics elegance and functionality, then its all about robust bleeding edge performance, performance and perfomance. Any and every money made in these systems has all gone back into the attention to details, seeking out potential micro-compromises and weighing them out with the best technical practices and procedures.Hence my championing of the new Atmos Premiere Home system rank.

I just realized REAR PROJECTION, like the South beach SOHO House's first REARPRO RealD such system in our Pandora Viewing Snug.

I know I am ahead of my time but hats off to these guys seeing 85 years into the future. With the pace of modern technolgy I struggle to stay 15-20 years ahead.
