Besides approaching this CEDIA with Taker in selecting all the kit for AEGIR, and the SKOLL II upgrade we are going to do this first special assignment with a focus slant I have never approached before.
We have heard the term dual use technology. I will scour the offerings and while I will exclude non-dci projectors, and surround processors not having the required 16 channel aes input, etc.etc. I will select products at this show with special high value dual-use strictly for DCI Screening Rooms.
Suggestions encouraged, but they must apply in a very special way to DCI rooms. Im thinking already the routing and fiber optic delivery of hdmi 2.0 into something like the Alchemy's 3 input when they release their 2.0 version.
As inferred in the Elephant In Th Room thread upcioming part 2, I'm also going to report on the new d-box II controller that will synch to Blu-ray window and their less expensive actuator system for your non MLP seats. I will look at every 4k stb and streamer to feed 4k60 into the alternative content ports.
Same goes for 3d playback kit.
