  • Lenses that receive the CINERAMAX seal of approval

Continuing on the "I am mad as hell and I wont take it anymore" campaign to de-medocritize 4k dci setups...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGiX5tbLKiY

I want you to walk up to the zoom lens of your dci projector, rip the mother-fing POS out of the lens holder walk to the the pool on your back yard and dump it. Enough is enough!

Here is one starting point for short throw lenses. These lenses list for 30, the zoom variant from Hyperion will list for 40.

Barco makes a decent 1 to 1 4k lens from the non dci side, am sure Christie has the same.

NEC leads the charge for maximum unsharpness, they should heed this advice.

Imagine you engineer a large format install and then the screen does not focus, details like this are all important yet no one seems to care.

Also these lenses are heavy and will vibrate thus reducing resolution. As I predicted before a new range of lens stabilizers are needed.

Check out my original design how similar is in concept to the Schneider which I swear had no clue about what it looked like.

Not to leave Schneider with an egg free face, I am mad as hell that they don't have solutions past the 1.18 td (first order) in 4k, the majority of home cinema wall to wall installs will require from 1.2 to 1.35.

Nice to see a high end lens on the market, Ive never had the pleasure to compare one to a cinema 2k lens. As you said they are going to have to expand the offerings well beyond 1.18.

Hi Pixels, for a flat screen the case is even worse because the effective rate isĀ  1.127.
