TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Ltd. one of the world’s largest TV manufacturers, launched the global first QUHD TV product line Xclusive (X1) at 2016 CES Consumer Electronics Show.

QUHD TV is a high-end product category launched by TCL in 2016, equipped with top picture quality processing technologies such as Quantum Dot, slim local dimming and HDR, as well as the supreme entertainment technologies integrated with innovative industrial design, high-standard speakers and the TV+OS. As a new generation of TV products to lead the trends of the industry, QUHD TV has specially employed slim local dimming technology to reduce the optical distance to 5mm which makes Xclusive (X1) the world’s thinnest local dimming quantum dot TV. Another innovative technology, Dolby Vision HDR, is also used in the new products to change the whole process of shooting, post production, transmission and representation, and represent the rich colors of nature. Besides, under the concept of all-in-one design, TCL allows the back cover to have a quite clean surface without any screw or gap, which also makes the contour line of Xclusive (X1) clear and flowing.

SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 11, 2016 /CNW/ -- TCL, one of world's leading consumer electronics manufacturers, showcased the complete range of its innovative products at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2016 (CES 2016) held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from January 6 to 9, 2016. TCL's QUHD TV, a highlight of the show, sets a new standard in the smart TV market

At CES, the event where each year's technological innovations get a chance to be viewed and rated by the market, TCL has displayed its latest achievement in the TV industry, the new QUHD TV series enabled by the QUHD technology.

As one product in the QUHD TV family, a high-end product line launched by TCL, the X1 QUHD TV, which the company unveiled prior to CES, comes equipped with a number of top line features, including industry-leading hardware, H/K audio and the smart TV+OS system, in addition to the QUHD technology. By making full use of the quantum properties inherent in the selected materials, combined with the support of the quantum image quality processing engine as well as several integrated technologies, including IDP (Intelligent display process) engine, full partition precise backlight control, the HDR display and signal processing integrated technology, the suite of technologies delivers excellence in image quality, including the widest color gamut coverage, a high luminance dynamic range, ultra-high contrast, accurate color matching and extraordinary backlight control.

The QUHD TV series, built on the fundamental innovation of backlight technology, has set a higher standard for next-generation TVs, bringing an end to disputes over what is actually the next-generation TV technology. QUHD TVs, by taking full advantage of the unique quantum technology, far exceed LED TVs in terms of display effects and also surpasses OLED TVs in terms of several key metrics, including definition and color purity. Additionally, QUHD TVs are residual shadow-free and have a longer life expectancy and higher energy efficiency, among other advantages, over other types of television technologies, providing a more affordable and appropriate choice for potential buyers of smart TVs. TCL plans to expand its QUHD TV line, which currently consists of two differentiated models: the X1 and the C2, to include more high-end products, in a move to create the strongest high-end portfolio across the industry.

TCL, one of China's earliest quantum TV manufacturers and one that has invested heavily and achieved the most in the field of quantum technology, has grown into a vertically-integrated TV maker with businesses covering the full spectrum of the industry, from LCD modules to LCD panels to complete TV sets. Based on its unique advantages in R&D and production of TVs, TCL has become the only TV manufacturer in China that has the ability to produce quantum TVs, fully demonstrating the company's competitive advantages in product innovation over other TV producers.

TCL, one of the top three television makers in the world, chose Nanosys’ QDEF Quantum Dot technology to bring the ultimate HDR experience to its new flagship Xclusive X1 of premium UltraHD televisions. Nanosys Quantum Dot technology makes High Dynamic Range (HDR) more dynamic by enabling TVs to reproduce pure colors with lifelike brightness using cutting-edge nano-crystal technology. The X1 represents the third generation of Quantum Dot TV products from TCL since 2014.

“Consumers are excited about our Quantum Dot TV products,” said Alex Xiang, Chief Operating Officer, TCL Multimedia. “Nanosys is the recognized leader in quantum dot technology for displays, their unique Quantum Dot film solution enabled us to push the limits of what’s possible with the Xclusive X1 in terms of brightness, color and contrast – bringing consumers the very best HDR viewing experience on the market.”

TCL 4K UHD Roku TVs Hit US With Attractive Prices In Tow: Preorders Now Open
By Kyle Nofuente, Tech Times | March 25, 7:39 AM

TCL 4K UHD Roku TVTCL and Roku have finally hooked up, and the P130 series of TVs are the result of that partnership. In 55-inch and 65-inch flavors, TCL's latest 4K UHD TV's are on preorder now on Amazon for $599 and $999, respectively.

One of the best bang for your buck brands in TVs is TCL, and it's got a new set of 4K UHD TVs equipped with Roku on preorder now.

TCL, the world's third-largest television manufacturer, announced its latest lineup of 4K TVs early this year at the Consumer Electronics Show, and is the next manufacturer to work with Roku to have the streaming service already embedded into the TV itself.

The TCL P130 Roku series is a set of some of the least expensive 4K TVs right now. Its offerings are generally much cheaper than larger name brand products coming from the likes of Sony and Samsung. Moreover, by integrating Roku's services into the television, TCL offers customers a super simple user interface, and so far, the most apps on any smart TV currently in the market.

Having Roku embedded into P130 series TV is a nice touch, but it's not just limited to Roku's streaming services. Buyers can of course access other platforms as well, including Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, Vudu, UltraFlix and a whole lot more. It is a smart TV, after all.

Powering all those pixels and smarts inside the TV sets is an unnamed quad-core processor that pushes Ultra HD picture quality with over eight million pixels active on the P130's displays. Those without any 4K content to watch can upscale 1080p HD video in up to near-4K quality using TCL's proprietary Creative Pro 4K UHD Upscaling Engine.

Besides a 4K UHD, TCL has more to offer than just a large, crisp display. Each unit also comes with a smart remote that allows owners to use their voice when using the search function. The remote is also equipped with TCL's Remote Finder so it'll never really get lost, and it also has a headphone jack that can be used for private listening.

There are two options in the P130 series, a 55-incher and a 65-incher that are priced at an affordable $599.99 and $999.99, respectively. Amazon looks to be the first retailer online right now with preorders open. The delivery date is expected to be around the first week of April.
