Christie is launching the new HS series of single DLP chip HD/WUXGA Laser-Phosphor projectors. An extension to its Laser-Phosphor range started with the GS series launched last year. The GS series was also rebadged by French premium HT vendor Cineversum, so we may see the HS pop-up in either Cineversum, or Christie's own HT product offering.
In the spec. sheet for the D12HD-HS 11K lumens HD and D12WU-HS 12K Lumens WUXGA we see the return of the native on-off contrast figure of 1200:1, that was initially provided for the GS series, but was later replaced by only a dynamic contrast figure following the introduction of laser modulation.
The new HS series projectors doubles its output compared to the GS series making use of one of the key benefits of LASER and LASER-Phosphor light sources, high output.
