SiliconCore Common Cathode LED dispaly manufacturer will showcase its smallest LED pixel pitch display yet, an 0.95mm prototype. The technology demonstration will be held at SiliconCore's booth K110 in hall 10, from 9th - 12th February at the RAI in Amsterdam.
SiliconCore’s 0.95mm LED prototype brings the benefits of very fine pixel pitch displays to applications requiring extremely close proximity viewing. The display features superb contrast ratio and gray scale qualities, with the ability to achieve 2000 nits in brightness. 4K resolution is achieved at 165” diagonal and optimum viewing can be experienced at less than one meter.
SiliconCore's 0.95" pitch is not the smallest pitch display available, Unilumens has displays of 0.9 mm and 0.8 mm pitches, and Aoto even can supply 0.75 mm pitch displays. The SiliconCore displays at previous showed to be able to keep up with other smal(ler) pitched displays, perhaps due to its common cathode and COB technology.
Two years ago SiliconCore showed at ISE what I considered the first High-end Video directview LED display at 1.5 mm and 1.95 mm.2015 the pitchs was reduced to 1.2 mm, and this year 0.95 mm.

This advancement in pixel pitch, contrast ratio and brightness has been achieved due to SiliconCore’s Common Cathode driver architecture. The Common Cathode method reduces the heat output of displays for lower power consumption, a longer lifespan of over 100,000 hours, and removes the need for additional cooling. These factors combine to enable SiliconCore to lead the industry in total cost of ownership.
Eric Li, President and CEO of SiliconCore explains:
“Our unique and patented Common Cathode architecture has made this innovation possible, negating the need for an external ballast resistor on the Red LED so that tighter formations can be created. We are very excited about the numerous applications for this technology within the corporate, command and control, visualization and financial sectors. At 0.95mm, even the smallest details are visible, so that large data sets can be viewed with the highest degree of precision.”
