The SRX R515 is still a fairly new product, updates have been steady and the road map for adding new features has been progressing nicely. HDMI 3D "scope aspect" ratio is now active. The server is now Dolby Atmos capable ( License required ) and a server storage upgrade doubling the 4TB to 8TB. A pair of 4k input boards for alternative content are now available choose between a Quad DVI or quad HDSDI input board.
The Sony SRX R515 holds the record for the highest contrast out of box for D-cinema at a minimum of 8000:1.

Here are a few pictures of "Moving Images Technologies" XLS 3D Mover.

The XLS Mover platform supports the XLS 3D projection system from Real-D for Sony projectors. The system mounts to the front of the lens utilizing a light weight design. Bearing cams on an aluminum tracks allow a gearmotor to positions the XLS system in front of the lens or to the side. System is controlled through remote automation or manually by override push buttons.
Here are a few pictures with the sled mounted to the Sony RKLR Combined 3D Dual Lens for the SRX-T615, SRX-R515P.

                  Hi Mr. Pixels:

Have you seen any loss/ degradation in the SXRD panels of the SRX515P, there have been reports of the consumer SXRD panels losing more than 50% of their on/off contrast in less than 2 years. Have you seen this in the Sony SXRD commercial units?

I have seen that topic on AVSF. I no longer have access to the 515 so I cannot provide any further measurements however out of box I measured a respectful 8000:1.
There was a recent post regarding contrast and the 515 on another forum.  In their post they stated dust collecting over time on the light engine caused a reduction in contrast. Sony sent a qualified technician to perform a cleaning procedure. I am not sure if they posted a follow up.

Even though the answer might be a little late.
Yes, they loose contrast and brightness, not only due to dust collecting, if installed in a dusty environment.
But an experienced technician with proper tools can regain the initial contrast and brightness in qualified periodical maintenance. BTW, this can also be done on the home versions, but AFAIK no one really dares to, as it is more profitable to sell new.

                          Thanks for your contribution 28054.

I no longer have my 515 but Id be curious what everyone who has owned the 515 for several years is averaging regarding contrast.

I confirmed those who run theirs on a regular basis do not lose contrast. All in all I loved the unit.
