  • New ICP software 4.03

They have added electronic H/V RGB convergence in 1,2,3 pixel increments.

    Available at https://www.barco.com

    Release notes:
If you are upgrading an ICP from Prod3.1 or earlier, the release package named “InstallMeFirst4.0.release” must be loaded and installed on the ICP, and the ICP must be rebooted, before attempting to load the release package named “Prod4.3.448.release”

    Problems Identified and Corrected:

Modified Linux device driver to increase timeout on filesystem writes for IDE devices. This fixed a problem causing communication failures to the ICP after many successive file accesses on ICP 1.5 version hardware.
Modified DC4K PCF files for scope aspect ratio to match the SMPTE specification of 4096 x 1716 (DC4K_*_239.PCF).
Added protection for filenames that were too long when reading/writing files to the filesystem.
Limited time that voltage/temperature system file remains open to avoid possible resource contention with device driver.
Fixed random incorrect horizontal position for HGROUP within vertical subtitle.
Stopped changing file extension for PNG files to lowercase when validating image tags for subtitles in CineCanvas(tm).
Excluded control code 0x007F from being rendered in subtitles. This was done to be compliant with new CTP1.2 procedures.
Changed how subtitle string length is computed in order to fix horizontal alignment issue with long strings that are centered.
Fixed two small subtitle bugs for 2byte and 3byte encoding of character streams.

    New Capabilities:

New lamp types TBD1 – TBD5 were added to support future AC pulsed lamps without needing to update software. See product specification for new values.
Added the capability to set individual image orientation by color, red, green, and blue separately. See product specification for new options.
Added logging for status change on error, and additional logs at startup when errors are detected.
Added capability to have Rotate element inside of Ruby Base Rb or Ruby Text Rt elements for subtitles.
Added minimum support needed to parse SMPTE 428-7 2014 subtitle files without error.

    Known Issues:

There is a known issue using electronic convergence with DMDs that have a DDR interface, (the 1.2DC2K and 1.38DC4K DMDs). When electronic convergence is used to move one or more colors in the horizontal direction, the computation for CSC-P7 color correction is incorrect. This could manifest itself as incorrect color particularly noticeable at the edges of objects in the picture.
