I/ITSEC 2016: JVC DEBUTS NATIVE 4K HIGH CONTRAST, LONG LIFE PROJECTOR FOR SIMULATION MARKET
WAYNE, NJ (Nov. 28, 2016) – JVC Visual Systems, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, today announced the DLA-VS4500 Visualization Series projector, which combines native 4K resolution and JVC’s BLU-Escent illumination system to meet the demanding needs of the simulation environment. The projector will debut at I/ITSEC 2016 (Booth 1321), which runs through Dec. 2 in Orlando, Fla.
With three native 4K (4096 x 2160) D-ILA imagers, the DLA-VS4500 offers 12-bit imagery, 3,000 ANSI lumens, and high native contrast ratio. It also supports extensive video and imaging formats and 120Hz refresh for artifact-free, smooth motion display. A full range of high MTF fixed and zoom lens options will be available to meet various throw ratio requirements.
JVC’s BLU-Escent laser/phosphor technology is an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional lamp-based illumination. It is ideally suited for the simulation market, because it provides high reliability over extended operating hours, maintains stable brightness and color, delivers very high contrast and dynamic range, and allows flexible mounting orientations. The DLA-VS4500 has an estimated 20,000-hour light source life, utilizing JVC’s second generation BLU-Escent technology.
