  • Cybernet Manufacturing launches 'World's First 4K UHD Medical Computer'

When reviewing projectors, particularly by Canon, as well as the odd LCD monitor, one might notice the term DICOM. Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine standardises the handling, storing, printing, and transmitting information in medical imaging. However that is always acompanied by an Asterix stating for non-clinical review only. The term used is DICOM Simulation Mode, that governs the grayscale mode, depending on environment. But it is only to be used in education or looking along with medical practioners.

However there are also a small number of display vendors that offer displays that are rated for actual clinical review appllications. Cybernet is one of of them . It has now launched what it claims to be the 'World's First 4K UHD Medical Computer'.

"Cybernet Manufacturing announces the introduction of its 4K ultra high definition, medical all-in-one touchscreen PC designed for surgical grade applications and for clinical review".

Cybernet Manufacturing Inc. is a leading manufacturer of medical all-in-one computers and tablets. It announces the launch of the world's first surgical grade all-in-one medical computer for use in clinical review and during surgeries. "The CyberMed NB24k is the world's first medical grade computer with a 4K UHD display", the company said in a prepared statement.

The 4K UHD in combination with the MVA (Multiple Viewing Angle) panel enables perfect visibility from all angles. The unit is EN60601-1 certified and comes standard with an antimicrobial surface protection housing.

"The [url-https://www.cybernetman.com/en/medical-computer-with-uhd-4k-display]CyberMed NB24k[/url] is built specifically for use in clinical review and during surgeries," said Ali Bagheri, Global Senior Vice President, Cybernet. "The CyberMed NB24k offers high definition images surgeons need for ultimate precision when making incisions, and fast response time so that all movements of the instruments are shown without delay. The use in ORs also calls for the multi-input capacity to connect cameras and other video devices, so the NB24k comes with HDMI input, HDMI output as well as capture card options."

The CyberMed NB24k comes with the powerful, Skylake 6th-gen Intel Core CPU. It is powered by three hot-swap batteries and is completely autonomous of electrical outlets. No need for a backup battery in the event of a power outage.

A revolutionary feature of this model is in its capacity to power external peripherals connected to it. The CyberMed NB24k has a convenient DC power output jack on the I/O coastline, which allows it to power barcode scanners, printers, card readers or other peripherals.

"The CyberMed NB24k is the only medical computer on the market that offers the unique feature of powering peripherals," said Ali Bagheri. "On top of that, it is antimicrobial, fanless, waterproof, and safe for near-patient use in sterile environments. The NB24k is an elegant – and one-of-a-kind – solution to many healthcare IT problems."
