  • CEDIA 2017: Inneos Real4K 18Gbps Optical Adapter wins Best New Hardware Award

Inneos, an American vertically integrated provider of optical solutions for Videocom announced its new Real4K 18Gbps Optical Adapter has been Awarded one of the recent Custom Installation trade show's Best New Hardware Product Awards.

"We would like to congratulate Inneos for being selected as one of this year's CEDIA Best New Hardware Product Award Winners. Award winners represent fantastic innovation and the best technology our industry has to offer," Jenny Scott, CEDIA Director of Member Engagement, congratulated Inneos.

CEDIA awards are selected by a panel of home technology professionals for the innovation they represent and the value they provide to both the AV integrator's business and to end users.

Real4K 18Gbps Optical Adapters are simple "plug and play" dongles that convert electrical HDMI signals to optical signals and back again. They transmit the full 18 Gbps HDMI over distances of a 1000 meters (typical). Inneos makes the promise of upgradability, of course any electro-optical convertor can be swapped out at a later date: "Real4K adapters can be upgraded in the field to Real8K optical adapters when they become available".
