Christie has joined the growing group of sub-milimeter pitch LED Display vendors, as it launches the APEX 0.96mm 16:9 LED video wall.
“We’ve enhanced the popular Christie Apex Series to offer a variety of sizes and configurations for customers seeking high quality LED video wall performance”, said Ted Romanowitz, senior product manager, Christie. He adds: “Christie is committed to LED video walls that deliver long life, high quality components and features that reduce total cost of ownership”.
Christie says "Apex 0.9 is a 0.96mm pitch LED that delivers amazing colors, brightness at high uniformity. The new offering allows for scaling to popular resolutions in a smaller square meter area as well as reducing optimum and minimum viewing distances. The Apex Series offers a proprietary solution of high quality components that work as a system to provide the highest visual experience, maximize display time, and ensure complete peace of mind, unmatched by other LED displays".
Christie enlists its distributor Stampede to promote the new 0.96mm pitch video wall, but at the same time it says it takes over the roll of integrator or dealer
"The simple process starts with choosing the pixel pitch or size of the required video wall required and then the Christie team takes care of the rest. That includes making sure all the LED tiles, power supplies, and cabling needed are made available quickly and easily to help integrate the video wall into the specified space". At the same time this means re-sellers can get into direct view LED displays without inhibiting financial or technical constrains.
And Christie Financial Services leasing program can make it easier for customers to acquire, manage, upgrade or replace equipment. The leasing program can help address obsolescence by providing the potential to build equipment refresh into a program.
Christie promises a website that features an interactive map that highlights customer installations around the world, with the global installations filter by pixel pitch and market: corporate, education, entertainment, government, and retail, an empty promise to all that get forced onto the Christie EMEA site when clicking the provided link for 'The Christie LED product website'. Those that have their non-US projects featured here have to jump through the VPN hoop to see their own project(s).
The Christie APEX 0.9mm video wall offers:
16:9 aspect ratio
Remote and redundant power supply
Front serviceability
Slim design that is ADA compliant
Advanced monitoring capability (SNMP)
