    BenQ was the first to announce its HT2550/W1700, but Viewsonic is also taken advantage of CES to launch its $1500 projector, the PX727-4K. ACER, Optoma, and others undoubtedly will follow with a smaller less expensive 4K DLP projector using an 0.47" 1080P DMD with 4 state pixel shifting to create the 4K picture. The new DLP470TP. The DLP470TE is for projectors upto 4000 lumens.

Viewsonic also claims the projector offers 2200 lumens of brightness and a contrast of 12,000:1.



    With 2200 lumens of brightness and a contrast of 12,000:1, the PX727-4K provides razor sharp details and lifelike colors, and together with the built-in 10W speaker, this 4K projector immerses the viewer in a complete visual and audio experience. A 1.2x optical zoom and versatile connectivity options, including HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2, HDMI 1.4/HDCP1.4, VGA In/Out, USB 2.0, Audio In/Out, RS232 and a 12V trigger, ensures that set-up of the PX727-4K is trouble-free. This projector features an energy-saving SuperEco function that reduces power consumption and extends the lamp life to up to 15,000 hours*.

    And here's Optoma's UHD 50, also at $1499.-. 2400 lumens with RGBRGB color wheel. Optoma says it is now the largest 4K projector manufacturer, shipping at least five times the volume of its competitors.

    The UHD 51A, includes Amazon Alexa voice control.
