  • Draper shows latest TecVision projection surface, rejecting 82% of ambient light

Draper's latest ambient light rejecting TecVision projection surface rejects 82 percent of ambient light, will be on display at ISE 2018, February 6-9 in Amsterdam.

TecVision CS1200X ALR is a grey surface with, according to Draper, excellent ambient light rejection properties. With an ALR rating of 18, TecVision CS1200X ALR rejects 82 percent of the ambient lighting not being produced by the projector. Ideal for environments with high ambient lighting and controlled viewing angles, CS1200X ALR has superior contrast with excellent black retention. The higher 1.2 gain will help brighten the image in sizes up to 67 feet wide. Just like the rest of Draper's TecVision line, CS1200X ALR is 8K-ready and Imaging Science Foundation-certified for color accuracy, so users won't notice the blue tints present in images on many other ambient light rejecting screens.

The CS1200X ALR designation means it's a surface with superior contrast that meets or exceeds contrast offered by any competitive viewing surface. The CS1200X ALR is available as a Nanoperf surface for acoustical transparency.
