Slovenian IPTV and broadband operator T-2 has announced it will launch a new 4K set-top-box, to be followed by an 4K television service as well as a VOD/SVOD service. T-2 says it is the first Slovenian Telecoms Operator to introduce an 4K Television service.
The box is Amino Communications Kamai 7. Designed around the latest Broadcom chipset it supports 4K, support High Dynamic Range will be added at a later date. T-2 believes it allows the operator to implement the latest trends in TV and additional media, social- and multi-media services for the coming years.
T-2 offers over 350 TV channels in HD and SD as well as the TV2go-app out-of-home service.
