Samsung releases new 'LED for the Home' brochure, The Wall and IF-series

It provides an overview of the residential application of Samung LED display products, of course the upcoming The Wall, but also the well established IF series of commercial LED Displays, re-applied to the home.

According to The Wall Dealer Arrow-AV on DCI-Forum: "Samsung has kinda soft-launched the first generation The Wall product with shipping imminently. But it's the Luxury model that's the version of particular interest, which is over 2000 nits peak luminance and up to 292" 16:9 at 8K resolution, as well as other customized sizes and aspect ratios; and that's due for release early 2019. Hoping to see this at IFA and/or CEDIA and/or CES  ".

Pricing guidelines from Samsung:
"Pricing: we have [MSRP] pricing for our LED product line.


Wall UHD 146”Bundle: $ 349,999

IF P1.2 FHD 110” Bundle: $ 99,999

IF P1.5 FHD 130” Bundle: $ 99,999


The price bundle above includes the screen + spare cabinets + mounting kit + S-Box; excludes delivery and installation.

This is a global pricing guideline, and will stay steady over time.

The release date for Wall Pro is Sept, and Wall Lux is Feb next year." <\q>

Thank you to DCI Forum and  Arrow-AV for new information and pricing of Samsung The Wall and IF 1.2/IF 1.5 Direct View LED Displays. It seems that Samsung significantly cut off prices for LED displays.

Recently, Planar/Leyard also reduced prices for their Direct View LED Displays. Now Full HD LED wall from Planar/Leyard TVF1.5 cost about 50,000-60,000 USD that is 1.5 time cheaper than Samsung. 

It is interesting, if someone could compare image quality of LED displays from Samsung IF1.2 and Planar/Leyard TWA 1.2,
or Samsung IF1.5 and Planar/Leyard TVF 1.5.
