According to the Korea Herald LG will most likely show-off an 175-ish Micro-LED TV at next week's Internationale Funk Ausstellung consumer electronics show in Berlin.
A company spokesperson would not confirm the Micro-LED TVs presentation at IFA to the Herald. Saying “It is true that the company has been conducting R&D projects for micro LED TV technology,” at the same time declining to reveal whether the company plans to display its own large-sized micro LED TVs at IFA, the largest non-US consumer electronics show.
LG and Samsung the two largest Cobols, or Korean conglomerates, are arch rivals always looking to one up each-other. The battle for microled is yet another example. LG going a size larger than Samsung's 146" modular TV.
There is always the posibility that it will show its commercial SMD RGB LED technology re-applied to consumer electronics, as fine pitch direct view LED videowalls are often confused with and refered to as Micro LED. Samsung als offers LED TVs that are rebranded commercial videowalls in the same range as The Wall.
