  • Christie CP4325-RGB pure laser projector to light up IBC Big Screen Experience

    The Christie CP4325-RGB pure laser projector will light up the IBC Big Screen Experience, at the IBC conference and trade in Amsterdam this week. Culminating in an exclusive screening of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Monday 17 September on the Big Screen at 18.30-21.00.

    Christie also support the broadcast industry with flatpanel displays for control rooms, as well as processing and image creation technology, for instance the clock shown on all electronic signs is generated by Christie.

    Christie has been a long term technical supporter of IBC and this provides not only the main Big Screen Projection with its CP 4325 DCi RGB Laser projector, but also  guests will be greeted by the famous Christie Clock with four Christie Boxer’s projecting onto it, upon entering the RAI lobby. The auditorium will also feature a Christie Boxer 2K30. The Emerald Room (Room A) will showcase the Christie Mirage WU14K-M with Room E102 (Room L) featuring two Mirage WU14K-M projectors and a Spyder X80 managing the content. In Room E102 (Room B), two Christie D13HD-HS laser projectors and a Spyder X80 will be demonstrating their capabilities while two Christie D12HD-H projectors – one each in CE Hub Hall 14 and the Hall 8 Future Zone will be showcased.

    Highlighted in Christie’s broadcast room (Auditorium Centre, First Floor G105) are the new Christie UHD861-LT display, FHD553-XE flat panels in a 2 by 2 array, two FHD981-L panels, the Christie Crimson laser-phosphor projector, Christie Apex Series direct view LED displays, and the Christie GS and HS Series laser projectors.  The Christie Spyder X80 will be used to feed the UHD-861-LT, Crimson and the FHD-981-L.

    The new Christie UHD861-LT touch panel is to make its global debut at IBC. The new Christie UHD861-LT features integrated touch and is designed for 16/7 performance, making it ideal for installation in meeting and lecture rooms, and applications including menu boards and kiosks.

    The Christie Spyder X80 provides 4K/60 processing features that simplify presentation of unique, high resolution content with processing and connectivity capabilities surpassing everything else in the market. Christie Spyder X80, the world’s most powerful multi-screen windowing processor and content management solution, can be configured with up to 24 inputs and 16 outputs per unit and supports user-defined colour depth of 8 bits, 10 bits or 12 bits per colour, as well as High Dynamic Range.

    Both Christie Pandoras Box and Christie Terra will manage and control the content in Christie’s space and throughout IBC 2018. From project conception to realization – and every step between – Pandoras Box gives users complete control over the entire workflow with nearly unlimited creative possibilities.

    Christie Terra enables the transport, processing and control of audiovisual content, including 4K at 60Hz video formats, over 10G Ethernet networks. Built on standardized SDVoE technology.

    Brian Claypool, Vice President of Product Management, Cinema, Christie will moderate two conference sessions:  next generation display technology will be conducted on Saturday, September 15 at 1:30 p.m, and the “Laser Tech – Science Becomes Art” panel, featuring Dominic Glynn, Chief Scientist, Pixar; Michael Zink, VP Production technology, Warner Brothers; and Annie Chang, VP Creative Technologies, NBC Universal Media,will discuss LASER Projection use in Cinema.
