French high channel-count immersive audio processor maker Trinnov and Swedish speaker and audio systems maker Procella have teamed up again to create what the companies consider to be 'The Ultimate Luxury Home Cinema Experience',for this years ISE show taking place next week in Amsterdam. By demonstrating an 21.4.10 speaker layout Dolby Atmos system, at booth 5.U80.
This makes for 35 channels, or three more than the 32 offered by the Trinnov Altitude 32 processor. The systems is therefore orchestrated by the new Altitude 48, that can deliver sound signals for 48 channels. A second altidue 32 is used to assist in the Dolby Atmos decoding and pre-processing,according to the exuiment list below.
"We wanted to demonstrate what immersive audio really sounds like over a unique 21.4.10 speaker layout. Combining the Power of the Altitude 48 Ext and the finest speakers from Procella Audio, discover improved spatial resolution, smoother objects panning and a more accurate soundstage, which altogether deliver a more natural and immersive film experience", according to the company.
The audio system is will use five channels behind the screen to create a rock-solid front soundstage with 'impeccable' detail across the front.This custom speaker layout will also offer fourteen surrounds, two wides, and ten overheads.
The low end is not forgotten making full use of Trinnov exclusive multiple subwoofer management systems over Procella new V21 main subwoofer reinforced by two Procella P15-FP subs to provide bass for the surrounds and Atmos channels.
Kaleidescape will present the Strato player and download service, which can play movies in 4K Ultra HD with high dynamic range at 60 frames per second, with lossless audio, including Dolby Atmos.
On top of Dolby Atmos the Trinnov processors can also render DTS-X and Auro 3D immersive sound.
