At the upcoming 8K Summit in New York next week several demonstrations will show the benefits and issues involved in the move to 8K video content production and distribution. RED will show 8K production on a laptop. Main sponsor Samsung will show how its AI can assist in restoring 2K and 4K sources to create 8K versions. It will also show 8K content graded for 2000 nits peak luminance. And promote its HDR10+ dynamic HDR standard particularly for mid-tier TVs.
PHFX will show a variety of 8K content, including content with full BT.2020 color gamut.
