In a few weeks Kinepolis will open its first ScreenX 270 degree projection in the Dutch city of Utrecht, in addition it will open five more screening rooms with the three wall projection system of Korean vendor CJ 4Dplex. The theater in Antwerp, Belgium is scheduled to open in December. Two theaters in France, at Lomme and Saint-Julien-lès-Metz, should also open later this year.
The ScreenX theater room in Madrid will also open in the coming weeks.
The chain already operates 4DX immersive motion theaters by the same vendor. The operator opened four new 4DX theaters in the first half of the year.
