Just get a Masterimage or a Chinese one;-). 

Bad news for RealD, good news for private cinema's looking to use this type of 3D technology.

Welcome to the forum, you beat me to it. Yes 26,000 for the usa vendor 1, 13,000 for chinese similar specs.

The one advantage with RealD is their "Ghostbuster" filter. Without the filter engaged ghosting is visible, I find it annoying. Not sure how ghosting compares with competing offerings.
I was quoted by RealD $25k for their typical 5 year lease program.

That is a lot less I was quoted for europa, they wanted 15 a year, for the single polarizer.

The problem with the RealD it has a minimum throw distance of 31 feet to converge well, so for homes.... requires spacial considerations....

Master Image was not  ghostbusting at cinemacon, there was no ghosting, what was annoying was the defective coating on severtson, it does not show on microperf but on non perf screens it looks like someone spray painted the screen on a beach, during a windy day.

For iso mkv files there is ghostbusting technology available.....
