  • IBC: Japanese Eyecandy

Petite, delicate, refined, and totally impracticle, so proper eyecandy, NHK hosted the smallest 8K OLED display at only 13.3" diagonal. It is so small that one needs to press one's nose against the screen to see the fine detail. The resolution that exceeds human vision at 664 pixels per inch, and the rich colours and large contrast provided by OLED allow for this. This product is not designed to come to market, the next step is making it flexible.

Even with a magnifying glass there are no pixels to be seen.

From up close it looks like you are seeing a large screen, as one can blow it up, without penalty.

NHK also brought an immersive holographic display to the Future Zone. In real live both table tennis players were completely visible, but it is not easilly caputered without smearing, and some ghosting.
