4DX Opens Second U.S. Location, First in the Midwest, at Gurnee Mills Cinema
CJ 4DPLEX, the world’s first 4D cinema company, and Marcus Theatres®, the fifth-largest theatre chain in the United States, announced the opening of the Midwest’s first 4DX location on Friday, November 20. Moviegoers now have the opportunity to enjoy the 4DX immersive cinema experience touching all five senses with screenings of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay–Part 2â€, now open to the general public at Marcus Gurnee Mills Cinema. The new auditorium’s first weekend in operation resulted in an attendance rate of more than 50 percent, despite heavy snowfall in the area.
