I watched this also, very good quality. There are some scenes that show very good HDR, one was with Anthony Hopkins when they enter the submarine you can see the HDR.

I report already about the super good Picture Quality the UHD Disc from “Transformers The last Knight” have.
As this was a big surprise after I read in several web pages that this UHD Disc was made from a 2K Master ( I doubt this) I order the 3D BD as well to check it out.
I got it yesterday and I must say "WOW" what a good 3D may the best 3D BD I saw so far!
Very much details inside very good 3D what a nice 3D picture only from a 3D BD.
So sad that today UHD Disc not support 4K 3D HDR Rec. 2020 Colors.
As I doing 3D since almost 40 years I wonder how this can be done via a 2D to 3D conversion I found this good info about how they shot the movie in 3D:
http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/trailers/834579-michael-bay-blows-stuff-up-in-3d-in-transformers-the-last-knight-featurette
I really strongly recommend the “3D BD Transformers The last Knight”.
If you are a fan of 3D this is a must have Disc that shows how good a 3D BD can look with a good 3D Setup.

I got some special content yesterday.
2 time laps macro 3D 4K clips from flowers and one 3D Germany Movie from a puppeteer movie.
The 2 time laps 4K 3D clips are in 2 versions there.
One in 24P and also in 30P that my Barco Thor should play but he cannot play the 4K 3D 30P version.
Looks like there is a bug inside that Barco not solve so far as I get a bad strong slow flicker when I playback the 30P version.
Hope Barco can solve this as the Projector can normally do 4K 30P 3D.
Here a nice link for all that have fun to going inside a bit further into what is the best possible picture quality.
This guy did 2001 and Blade Runner and many other films and his vision about future about watching movies was really a very good read!
Dont miss it!

Nice post, you are always on the cutting edge with 3D and the very best content. I hope Barco can fix 30P issue in your projector so you enjoy the content the way it was meant to be seen.
Thanks for the link, I enjoyed the article. I wish the Pods were readily available Id buy one "if affordable", maybe thats why you dont see then for sale.

This week Wednesday I open my cinema for a visit from some good friends that comes with some very special content and we did a lot of compare of different source materials include some very unique 4K 3D Time laps in 24P and 30P and some other DCI 3D Material.
We had a long evening till 10:30pm.
First we compare “Passengers” the UHD 4K 2D Version Rec. 2020 and HDR to the 3D BD 2K Version.
Here we all can see very good how much the difference this 2 versions have.
The UHD Version show a lot more details thanks to the true 4K Master much better color and some nice HDR Effects but 3D was big missing!
The 2K BD 3D Version show visible less details less good color no HDR but had 3D on and even it was only a 2D to 3D Up convert it opens up a new dimension as 2D to 3D was made very well.
Hard as we are all together big 3D lovers to rate what is better but to me I prefer the UHD Version in 2D as their advantage is huge compare to the 3D BD Version.
Often such a compare goes the other way.
A good sample is “The Martian”.
This UHD Disc was based on 2K Master and not show a perfect picture so I prefer the 3D BD Version as over all this is the more impressive version.
But please note that all such comparison was done with the Barco 6P Thor Projector that had the best possible 3D at the market and compare to other
Projectors they often show a much less good 3D Picture with a lot less brightness less color and not perfect ghosting.
But also 2D looks better than everything I have seen so far.
Take this into account when you may do this compare with other Projectors and may got different results as I got with the Barco Thor 6P Laser Pr.
The above is a clear sign that if the potential from what a UHD Disc “can” offer if was perfect made can be the winner in such a compare over a 3D BD but reality
are often different.
We also compare Billy Lynn’s “Long Halftime Walk” UHD Version the only so far movie UHD Disc that had a 4K “60P” HDR Rec. 2020 Version.
As this movie was shot in real 3D the 3D Effect is better than the up convert Passengers 3D BD so the compare had a different result.
There we really have the first 15 min. big problems to adopt to the 60P Framerate the UHD offers.
It not looks like film anymore but after some 20 min. we adopt to it and when we than change back to the 3D BD version that have only 24P we was shocked how bad 24P looks in motion
and we need again time to adopt to this as well!
Than we wish us 60P back!
So for me it will be just take some time till more movies was shot in HFR 60P or in future may 120P or an adaptive Frame Rate that was discusses lately in the Industry a lot till you will found
24P a nightmare to watch.
My daughter’s 12 and 15 are say when they see first time this 4K 60P Content “Papa super good first time not any stutter visible” !!!
Later we watch a part of a nice 2K 3D Cinema DCI Content from the Movie
“Kalif Storch in 3D” shot in the in the Puppet Payhouse in Bad Tölz near Munich that Albert and Karl Heinz (both to the left) owns and runs.
You can see it at YouTube in 3D in good quality but you need a Red Cyan Glasses:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9dUW28U2tc
BTW I know Albert since I was a young boy at 16 years as he was as I in the Munich 3D Club 40 years ago.
One of the highlight for all of us was to see first time Günters ( in picture he was at the right side) new 4K 3D Time-lapse that was record with a full frame Canon 5D Mark2.
This content was the best 4K 3D I have seen so far.
Sad we can’t play it back in 30P as the Pr. still had a bug but in 24P it plays without any problem.
My guest was all simply overwhelmed how this 3D and as well 2D looks.
They was very surprised how bright this Pr. was in 3D even if the Cr. improvement takes almost 50% light away and how the 3D looks with no ghosting at all a very high cr. and a world record ansi cr.
perfect color and with an razor-sharp image on the screen paired with a very nice perfect uniformity and not any visible shading.
The all agree that this was the best 3D they have ever saw and even more they say it was the best overall picture they saw from a digital Projector in there live.
As this comes from people that are doing 3D over 40 years long and saw everything in 3D means a lot.
It confirms my statement I do some time ago that the Barco Thor is not only in 3D also in 2D the best overall Projector money can buy today.

Billy Lynn was shot in 240 pictures per second 120 per eye. So 3D in 120P 4K to each eye. Ang Lee made many versions to suit his judgement for the many releases. 24P 4K, 60P 4K, 120P 2K, and 4K, among others..
<\q>
That was almost right.
100% correct is that it was shot in120 Frames per eye in 3D but not in 4K they shot it in 8K.

Ang Lee use 2 Sony F65 in a 3D Rick for the movie.
This Camera can shot in 8K but I am not 100% sure they can do 8K together with 120P.
8K 3D 120 Frame was told to me from one of the Studio Guy that should know it.
Anyway as I like to know it I have write a Mail to one that should know it for sure.
Also possible that the shot in 8K 3D at 60 P per eye and made from this content a 120P Version.

I got the feedback from some VIP about how this movie was shot and you are right I was wrong see here what he mail me:
"It was shot with two Sony F65 cameras. These cameras have 8k horizontal resolution, but this does not translate into 8k picture resolution. Rather it makes very good 4k resolution with oversampling. The production was graded and released on a limited basis at 4K 120fps, the UHD BD is 4K 60p, one of the few titles available at this frame rate.

Indeed Christie flew the pair of projectors that was used in the grading suite around the world. First to a demo at IBC 2016.Then a full length screening at NYC Film Festival (world premier) a screening in London, one in Singapore?, and I believe one in China, Hong Kong or Shanghai, I don't remember what I heared.

Terminator 2 is one of the best movies I saw so far in my live.
I cannot remember how many times in how many versions I watch it but I think more than 10 times for sure.
I remember that I had a Laser Disc Import from Japan that had a for Laser Disc very rare Anamorphic NTSC Version on!
So I was very impatient to see this new scanned and mastered Terminator 2 UHD and 3D BD.
A short look yesterday show for the 3D BD a very good picture quality but a big surprise I see some 2D to 3D artefacts that I have never see from such a big movie and I really wonder how this can happen when James Cameron did it?
Normally his name is a guaranty for a super good picture quality like for sample the super good Titanic 2D to 3D conversion.
We will watch the whole movie in 3D BD possible later today or over the weekend and let’s see if there is beside the bugs I have seen in the opening sequence other 3D bugs as well inside.
Beside this 2D to 3D Bugs the quality is outstanding and show a much better picture compare to all old other versions that show this movie see also the pictures down.
I never thing that I can see T2 in this quality in my live as all versions that are till today out not show a good picture quality but now this change.
So it was a surprise to me how good it looks but more than the 3D BD surprise me the UHD Version as I thought that the original Super35mm Film not contains much more than just 2K resolution.
So I expect a good 3D BD but doubt that the UHD Version are can show more.
This UHD Disc was the proof that it is possible and that S35mm Film can have more than 2K inside as compare to the 3D BD it show an even better picture quality.
More details are visible in some sequences and better color and HDR.
UHD version was a bit dim from my taste and strange some parts that should show a full black show not a full black so not sure if there was a near black bug inside as some other UHD Disc have.
Also what is a bit strange that normally the OPPO UHD Player 203 show when you hit the Info bottom for 2 to 3 sec. a detailed information list.
In the section where the player show normally min. and max. nit was nothing inside at all!
This was the first UHD Disc I have seen that not show there any data.
Not sure what cause it and bad I can see this info.
At least the Oppo show in the beginning the HDR 10 Logo.
Will report when I have news and may there are other reader here that had this new version and like to report as well.
